Tips & Tricks

Many factors can affect how long your Eyelash Extensions last.

Follow these steps for the best results.

  • Avoid getting your lashes wet for the first 24hrs. It is best to avoid saunas, steams and swimming for the first 2 days, otherwise please use goggles. Avoid oil based creams over your lashes as this can losen the bond. You can still use your eyecream around the eye area.
  • Do not perm, tint or curl your extensions.
  • Avoid waterproof mascara, however if you do want to use mascara I can recommend a specially formulated one suitable for the extensions.
  • Do NOT pick, pull or play with your lashes as this can results in them falling out prematurely.
  • I recommend you use a mild, non-oily eye make-up remover or cotton buds or make-up wipes to remove make-up.
  • If you experience any itching or irritation please let me know and I will remove the lashes for you.
  • Allergies are very rare as neither the lash or the glue touches the skin.
  • I recommend you have touch-ups every 3-4 weeks and this only takes between 30-45mins.

A contra-indication is something that prevents or restricts the way in which the treatment is performed.

  • Any disorder causing sensitivity to the eyes
  • Conjunctivitis
  • Stye
  • Undiagnosed lump
  • Cuts or abrasions around the eye area
  • Inflammation around the eye
  • Swelling or puffiness around the eye

In case of an eye infection, the infection must be clear for 4 weeks prior to treatment.

Weekly Guide

Week 1 Your lashes should look good for the first 10-14days without the need for maintenance.
Week 2 Your lashes will start to look less full as your natural lash cycle begins to shed. This is the time when you should book a 15-30 minute maintenance session.
Week 3 If you have chosen not to maintain your lashes, you will see your extensions becoming more spaced and you will need to use mascara to give your eyes more impact. By the end of the week you will notice the lashes are more sparse.
Week4-5 If you have not had maintenance then your set of lashes will be almost gone, towards the end of their fullness you will require a 45min- 1 hour maintenance to bring back the fullness. These will take you up to 6 weeks, by what time all of the original set is gone and you can start again. Many people like their lashes so much they want to continue wearing them indefinitely. This is then achieved by visiting me every 2-3 weeks.
